South Park came into existence in 1970 through the joint efforts of a Fun Park grant from the City of Lincoln and support from the State of Arkansas Parks and Tourism.

These amenities encompass a quarter-mile walking or jogging track, playground equipment tailored for children, shaded picnic spots, basketball courts, benches lining the trail, and expansive green spaces.
