Bumble Bee Park
Bumblebee Park, established in 2013, received funding through various sources, including the Arkansas Parks and Tourism Fun Park Grant, City of Lincoln funds, city-supported staff resources, and an additional grant secured by the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce to enhance its equipment in 2014. The park's name was selected through a public poll and popularity vote conducted on both Facebook and through paper submissions. It officially opened its doors in early 2014 and underwent expansion that summer, introducing additional amenities.
This welcoming park boasts comprehensive amenities, including a full-sized basketball court, a picnic pavilion, diverse playground equipment, and swings. Furthermore, it offers a spacious green area suitable for hosting activities like egg hunts and kite flying. Subsequently, the park's grounds were further enriched with the acquisition of additional playground equipment and barbecue grills, made possible by the second grant. Bumblebee Park has since proven to be a valuable addition to our parks department, enhancing recreational opportunities for our community.
